Diario de
Marie Curie en inglés
15th June 1791
My mum has prepare a big
lunch for my family.
That’s why I have to go
to Paris. So, I have decided to start my trip to be able.
As my cousin Ana Estela
is here with me, she will come to Paris and she will stay there.
Before learning I have to
meet Pierre but I only have one day left to be with him and it is a pity.
He said that he is going
to take me on a boat alone the river Sena and later we will go to his favourite
restaurant to dinner, I am very excited.
Has I am meeting Pierre
my cousin has made me up and lent me one of her best dresses.
I am looking forward to
see him tomorrow.
My day with Pierre was wonderful.
Never nobody trated me marvelously At first I was a little nervous but
then picked up a lot of confidence, I could not stop laughing and it was great.
During
the trip with the boat, Pierre stood with me and I must say that because I
spend a lot of shame came arcades, but I couldn’t do more than wait for it to
happen to me.
I'm finally in Paris and have been here two days, and during my stay Pierre sent me a letter back telling me that when I wanted to talk to me and made me very much and said that my company is very pleasant for him.
Otherwise I'm very happy for my reunion with my family and friends.

Cavall de vapor
El cavall
de vapor es va desenvolupar a França a finals del segle XVIII per a la unitat
de potència del Sistema Mètric Decimal, que és similar al cavall de força. El
va inventar l’enginyer James Watt.
El cavall
de vapor consisteix en una unitat de mesura de potència que permet elevar un
pes d’uns 75 kg a 1 metre d’altura en 1 segon.
Aquest
descobriment va ser important ja que permetia elevar coses molt pesades en poc
de temps i sense cap esforç i es va desenvolupar per tota Europa.
El cavall
de vapor deien que era com la força d’un cavall i que seria molt útil per a
treballar ja que pot moure molins, alçar pes, moure carruatges…
Actualment
no s’utilitza molt però en alguns casos s’utilitza per als motors de cotxes, de
vaixells…
No va
suposar cap problema social, polític, religiós ni científic.
